Film: Far from Heaven (2002)
Julianne Moore is aaaamazing in this. She struggles to hold her place and family together, and you can see that struggle throughout the movie, until in the end when she breaks down. It was sort of hard watching this (as I am not used to watching melodramatic films) but I managed. I loved the music by Elmer Bernstein. Dennis Quaid and Dennis Haysbert* put on fine performances as well.
*I was like that’s the Allstate commercial guy! I felt like he was about to say “Are you in good hands?” any moment.

…the unnamed country I was living in was ravaged by a deadly disease that turned people into zombies (a la I am Legend). Many people, including my family and I, sought refuge in a gargantuan house. By some force of nature, a fire destroyed the zombies, and we took the opportunity to escape. At a crossroad, half of the group went to the right, while the group I was in took the left path. Apparently we took the right direction, as we ended up at a port. I met someone who convinced me to take a boat to New York City. I looked for my family, and asked for a credit card, just as the boat was leaving. I looked at my mom and started crying and we said our goodbyes. I hurried to the boat, which was moving already, and jumped in. I looked back at the port my tears, blurring the view.
Then I woke up.

@ katetydd - That is a lot! Wow. It is my goal to see every single one of Meryl’s work, but I’m taking it a slow pace :)
@ wearealwayslost - about 75 % of them were decent.
then you should start sharing them! aha :) i love finding new movies to enjoy, i can’t lie.
Well here’s a few that I liked: Happy-Go-Lucky, Amadeus, Lust, Caution, Far From Heaven, Persepolis, Lars & the Real Girl, & It Happened One Night.
@ viviopsis - I usually watch every weekend. It’s actually surprising coz I seldom can’t finish a movie in one sitting.
@ brandonjt - Yea, that’s true.
@ wearealwayslost - about 75 % of them were decent.
That’s about 9 movies per month. That’s not a lot is it?
